The Dive site accessed by a narrow lane off the Dawlish to
The road is steep, narrow and is quite
twisty. It has few passing places and only has room to park about half a
dozen cars. It is unlikely that you will be able to park here during the
holiday season. Head out of Dawlish towards Teignmouth ( You must now Kit up and make the walk down
under the railway bridge and up the 21 steps on the other side. Follow the
railway line 200m along the level path to the steps that go down to the beach.
There are only 22 steps however they are quite steep (there is a handrail) |

Site Description |

A long sandy beach with rocky reefs that
run out to sea from the shore. The sandstone rocks at the end of the beach
have arches and caves. Spectacular and unusual topography. The scenery alone makes
it worth the effort to visit this site. |

Virtually impossible for wheelchair access. Lots of steps and the access road is very steep |

Get there early as this is a popular site and parking is very limited. If you can be dropped off and picked up latter there is parking in Hall lane but it is a long way from the beach |
