From the A3052 (The main coast that runs from Exeter to
Lyme Regis) at Newton Poppleford take the B3178 signposted Budleigh / Exmouth Take the Otterton / Ladram Bay turn by the war memorial (Brick Cross). Follow the road through the pretty village of Otterton. Go past the "Kings Arms" Pub and post office. When you come to the bend go straight ahead up "Bell Street" (Signposted for Ladram Bay). After about 1/2 mile take the right turn into the Ladram Bay Holiday Centre. Park in the car park and go to the reception where they will tell you how to get down to the beach Ladram Bay Holiday Center, Otterton, Budleigh Salterton, Devon EX9 7BX. 01395 568398 or Fax 01395 568338. Site Description |
| The beach is sheltered by massive red sandstone cliffs. The bay is very sheltered and is further protected from the elements by the spectacular Sea Stacks. The Sea Stack are huge sandstone pillars that rise out of the sea a short distance from the beach. There is lots of sea life and the beach is a favorite for many fishermen. This would be an idyllic dive site if it wasn't for the poor visibility. Unless the weather has been calm for a period of time the sea is normally murky. |

A marine awareness centre at the top of the slope leading to the beach gives details of the local wildlife which includes common lobster, crabs wrasse, Place, and cuttlefish. |

A great location with easy of parking and spectacular scenery. It is a bit of an effort to get down to the sea over the pebble beach and visability is normally poor. |
